The 35-year-old father of three was attempting to complete multiple 20+ hour streams over the course of one week to raise money for the charity. According to stream moderators, "Poshy said he was going for smokes and left the stream running we were all still here assuming he had fallen asleep," via PVP Live. Attempting to reach Vigneault via gaming communication app Discord, a moderator known as Sorelor spoke with a detective from the Virginia Beach police department, who confirmed that the streamer had passed away.

Virginia Police are currently investigating the nature of Vigneault's death, but have yet to find an answer. It's important to note that at this stage, no causal ties have been made between the streamer's lengthy gaming sessions and his passing.

Wargaming.net offered the following statement to Polygon: "Wargaming is saddened to hear of the loss of streamer and tanker Brian Vigneault, aka 'PoShYbRiD,' a devoted player of World of Tanks and contributor to the Make-A-Wish foundation. We offer our most sincere condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time."
