World of Tanks Generals announced for PC

Spin-off of MMO to be free-to-play and browser-based.


World of Tanks creator has announced a spin-off title for the tank-based MMO.

The game is called World of Tanks Generals and it will be a free-to-play collectible card game that will be run from internet browsers on the PC, laptop, or tablet. Much like the original, World of Tanks Generals will be focused on World War II and relive historical battles. Players will be able to access four nations when the game launches: USA, USSR, France, and Germany.

So far, the game will have tutorial mission mode, single-player battle mode, and online player-vs-player mode. has confirmed that the game will feature over 220 cards that include tanks, artillery, and special abilities.
