World of Tanks creators to partner with MOL

Players can now use MOLPoints payment system to buy in-game items in Wargaming's online title.

Wargaming, the publisher and developer of online title World of Tanks, has announced that it is working together with e-payment service provider MOL AccessPortal to provide microtransaction services for the game.

According to MOL CEO Ganesh Kumar Bangah, players can now us the MOLPoints payment system to pay for microtransactions inside World of Tanks with their local currency. The announcement was made during the World Cyber Games Asian Championship and Digital Lifestyle Expo 2012 event held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on September 7.

The payment plan will also apply for future Wargaming titles like World of Warplanes and World of Warships. MOL's payment system is currently serving over 80 countries including Malaysia, Australia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
