Kemco will be showing off its upcoming Game Boy Advance platform game, Woody Woodpecker Crazy Castle 5, at E3 2003. Walter Lantz's giggly, slightly manic cartoon redhead has starred in a couple of video games in the past, most notably Woody Woodpecker Racing, which was published on several platforms including the Dreamcast and Game Boy Color. After a brief hiatus from the industry, Woody Woodpecker has returned to video games in Crazy Castle 5, replacing Bugs Bunny, who starred in the first four editions of Crazy Castle.

In Crazy Castle 5, Woody Woodpecker is asked to help Mother Nature regain control of the fairy world, which has been overrun by demons and other monsters. Woody will run, jump, climb, and swing his way around five different worlds with elemental themes before finally arriving at the legendary Crazy Castle for the final confrontation. The levels in the game offer several unique settings, ranging from ancient pyramids to jungles and even abstract worlds with clowns. Along the way, you'll collect keys and special weapons, such as dart guns and throwable pies that can stun enemies. You'll also pick up several different costumes to customize Woody's appearance.

Woody Woodpecker Crazy Castle 5 also features multiplayer support for up to four players, using the GBA link cable and one game cartridge. The game is slated to ship in late July for the Game Boy Advance. We'll post new information as it becomes available.
