Activision and id Software have announced the release of Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Game of the Year, a special edition of their popular World War II first-person shooter. The special edition includes the full version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, along with new multiplayer maps, a map editor, and a video clip showing the making of the game.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released in November 2001. The game is set in Germany during World War II, and it lets players assume the role of an Allied special forces agent sent behind enemy lines to investigate Nazi experiments with the supernatural. The multiplayer mode features team-based combat with four player classes and a variety of maps. For more information, read our full review of the game.
