WizardWorks Announces Deer Hunter 3

Not to be outdone by the rest of the industry, GT Interactive and WizardWorks announced Wednesday that Deer Hunter 3 is near completion and should be on store shelves by October.The newest installment in the Deer Hunter franchise, Deer Hunter 3 will feature 3D graphics, hunting areas based on USGS terrain data, seasonal changes, environmental effects, ballistics data, and even multiplayer hunting (both competitive and cooperative). "Deer Hunter fans can get ready for a completely new and advanced hunt from Deer Hunter II," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president of GT Leisure. "Deer Hunter 3 includes input from thousands of Deer Hunter fans and incorporates such features as a full virtual hunting season where gamers can actually scout deer during the preseason, then return for the season opener and hunt through the entire hunting season."The companies will also be opening up a WizardWorks Outdoors Virtual Hunting Club where $10 will get the prospective member a T-shirt, access to members-only web sites, cheat codes, guest interviews, a quarterly newsletter, an ID card, and specialized bulletin boards.
