Witcher 3 On Nintendo Switch: New Buying Options Now Available; Complete Edition Being Removed

CD Projekt Red is changing the way it sells The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo Switch, and it's removing the Complete Edition at some point in the future.

For now, you can buy The Witcher 3 through the Complete Edition (with the base game, both expansions, and all DLC) or you can buy each piece separately. In a statement, CD Projekt Red said it's doing this to give users "more flexibility" in how they can purchase the RPG.

The Complete Edition, however, will be removed from sale at some date in the future. It's still available, but only for "the time being," the Polish studio said.

When the Complete Edition is removed, it will be replaced by the following purchasing options that will be available individually:

• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (base game)
• Hearts of Stone expansion
• Blood and Wine expansion

The total cost, however, is not changing. CD Projekt Red said you will be able to buy everything for the same price as the Complete Edition. The studio also said it plans to introduce a bundle that contains all the items, but apparently it won't be called the Complete Edition.

Everyone who already owns a digital or physical copy of the Complete Edition will receive a 100% discount on the base game and the expansions in the eShop, CDPR said. The developer is doing this so no one accidentally buys the game twice.

A short FAQ confirms that anyone who uninstalled the Complete Edition to free up space will be able to re-download the game with no issue.

CD Projekt Red's latest game, Cyberpunk 2077, is one of the best-selling digital PC games in history, though the title has also proven to be controversial over its bugs and other issues.
