Witcher 3 Day One Update Will Improve Frame Rate
Update will also make "overall performance improvements"; plus, watch a creepy new teaser trailer now.
When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arrives on May 19, players will be prompted to download an update that makes various technical improvements, including better overall frame rate.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who mentioned that frame rate issues were cited in some reviews, CD Projekt Red community manager Marcin Momot said, "Frame rate will be better once we official launch the game."
He went on to clarify that this update will be automatically applied when the game arrives.
A CD Projekt Red representative confirmed to GameSpot that this patch will be available on all platforms. It will also include "overall performance improvements" such as fixes for texture pop-in issues.
Separately, CD Projekt Red has released a teaser trailer for a new Witcher 3 video called "A Night to Remember." The full video will be available tomorrow, May 14.
