The release date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's upcoming Blood and Wine expansion may have been revealed. Wccftech noticed that Polish gaming website GRYOnline recently listed the upcoming expansion as launching on June 7. CD Projekt Red has yet to make an official announcement, so this is not confirmed.

Though it's possible this is a placeholder date, a June 7 release date does match up with the content's previously announced first half of 2016 release window.

The content was originally expected out in Q1 (January-March), but later shifted to the first half of 2016 (January-June). A CD Projekt Red representative told GameSpot, "No official date had been announced."

CD Projekt Red recently announced some Witcher-related events for PAX East next week, prompting someone on Twitter to ask if the release date for Blood and Wine would be divulged during the event. Community manager Marcin Momot replied, "The panel & some fun activities for people attending the show are our main focus," suggesting that, no, a release date won't be confirmed at the show.

CD Projekt Red previously said The Witcher 3's two expansions, combined, amount to "almost the size of The Witcher 2." Blood and Wine is expected to offer around 20 hours of gameplay, which is double what October's Hearts of Stone had for players.

Blood and Wine's first images (above) were released in December, showcasing the colorful all-new region of Toussaint. CD Projekt Red isn't yet talking specifics, saying only that the expansion will "take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret." It will also include new gear and enemies, as well as characters who are "both new and dearly missed."
