TOKYO--According to major Japanese video game retailer Sofmap's Web site, Sony will release Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator for the PlayStation 2 on March 24. The game will retail for 6,800 yen ($65). In this fourth installment in the Wild Arms series, gamers play as the 13-year-old main character Jude Maverick and adventure with the heroine Yulie, a handsome but cowardly man named Arnaud, and a gray-haired swordswoman named Raquel. Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator adopts a new battle system featuring hexagonal cells similar to a strategy game, and also adds some extra action game elements in the field screen. The official Web site currently hosts a new promotional trailer for the game.
