Although this week's update is noticeably thinner than the one seven days ago, players can still download a trio of new Wii games and one DSi update starting today. Headlining Nintendo's lineup is one iteration of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles franchise, My Life as a Darklord. In this tower defense game by Square Enix, players take control of the Darklord's daughter as she places a menagerie of monsters and an array of traps to repel waves of invaders. The game costs 1,000 Wii points ($10).

Also available this week is Battle Poker, a family-friendly card game coming out of Left Field Productions. Up to four participants race against the clock to make the strongest five-card hand possible. In order to get the best hand, players must hone their Wii Remote skills to grab essential cards before anyone else. This E-rated game costs 800 Wii points ($8 ).

Another family-friendly party game rounds out the WiiWare update, Cosmonaut Games' 5 Spots Party. One to four gamers look at pictures that seem similar at first glance but contain small differences, and the one who spots the largest number of inconsistencies wins the challenge. True to its title, 5 Spots Party will cost $5, or 500 points.

Nintendo's puzzle game Art Style: ZENGAGE is the only DSi update. The game features sliding cells that are matched with beads on the board. Participants progress through more than 100 stages by matching all the squares and beads, and the game gets harder as new challenges are added. Art Style: ZENGAGE costs 500 DSi points ($5).
