If it's Monday, it must be time for Nintendo to update its various online stores with new digital wares. This week sees the Wii get three new titles and its smaller sibling the DSi pick up five. The highest profile title is The King of Fighters '95, originally released on the NeoGeo in the mid-1990s. Costing 900 Wii Points ($9), the Virtual Console game features characters from the Fatal Fury, Ikari Warriors, Psycho Soldier, and Art of Fighting series in three-on-three team battles. Rated T for Teen, the game is published by D4 Enterprise and supports up to two players.

Nintendo uploaded two WiiWare titles as well this week. The first, Enjoy Gaming's Brain Drain (WP500/$5), will task players to reassemble a selection of 200 puzzles in a timed challenge mode, a competitive race mode, and a casual random mode. The second, Nordcurrent's 5 Arcade Gems (WP700/$7), features five offbeat arcade games: The fantasy actioner Templar Bashing; the self-explanatory Pizza Jungle Delivery, the racer RC Buggy Madness, the sci-fi shooter Whirling Rangers, and the backwoods puzzle game Lumberjack Trials.

Play it again…for the first time.
Play it again…for the first time.

Over on the DSi side, gamers can get their wordplay on with Electronic Arts' speed-spelling bee Scrabble Slam! (500 DSi points/$5). Other Ocean Interactive's Puffins: Let's Roll (DSiP500/$5) tasks players with reuniting puffin eggs with their parents. Electron Jump Games' Don’t Feed the Animals sees children use homemade robots in a real-time strategy battle with hungry wildlife.

Neko Entertainment's DodoGo! (DSiP800/$8) has players saving dodo eggs during a fictional prehistoric era where dinosaurs and explosives exist simultaneously. Last but not least, System Flaw Recruit (DSiP500/$5) is a fictitious training simulation that prepares players against a looming alien invasion. The game will use the DSi's camera to turn actual environments into game levels, but publisher Enjoy Gaming did not say exactly how the 500-DSi-point game would do so.

I haven't seen KOF: Orochi Saga on Wii in UK - same goes for Samurai Showdown Anthology - so we in UK have a choice of either to not bother / import from mainland europe / or to get ripped off by VC to play them...

Why buy one KOF game on Wii when you can get 5 for a $10 more on KOF: Orochi Saga (kof 94-99) on Wii?

Wii VC like XBLA Needs proper 'Arcade' titles badly - How about the complete Gradius collection (if PSP can handle it the Wii should breeze it), Sega coin-ops like Outrun, Afterburner, Daytona 1 & 2, Powerdrift, Virtua fighter, Last Bronx, Sega rally, Jurrasic Park. Neo Geo games on Wii are a good Idea but are WAY over priced (then again, so are most of the games on Wii VC). Summary : Love Retro - Hate Rip-off!.

Wow, 900 Wii points for a game that is more than a decade old? It's better to purchase the KOF compilations instead.

At last! I was wondering when were the KOF titles to start being released for the Wii. Though I'm not that excited about KOF'95, I'm already building anticipation for '97, '98 & 2000

Still not enough 64 games available, and most of them are from Nintendo. Does any other publisher want to support them or what? I prefer games from Nintendo on the 64, but they can't all do the work.

No good games really, but at least they're supposed to be done with the overpriced Game & Watch titles.

@halberdierv2 True they could port it, I m just guessing Capcom doesnt think it would warrant the cost. Activision is about getting it out to as many people as possible. I think fighting games these days are niche titles overall, as oppossed to the 16 bit era, so they only sell so so. Smash did well on the Wii, and i would guess the naruto games do decently, but Tatsunko v Capcom cant sell well here i doubt Capcom would port SFIV. Too bad they cant add DreamCast games to the VC, that system had a ridiculous number of solid fighting games, including Capcom vs SNK 2, my personal pic for best fighting game ever.

@Bigbudd0045 cost is the main reason i dont have a PS3, and i only have periodic access to a wii. then again, if they could get MW onto the wii, they could get SF on. the game is not as big as most others by size.

@halberdierv2 because the ps3 and 360 are ports of the arcade version, the wii cant handle it and honestly, most of the people who would buy it own 360s and ps3 so its likely not worth the port for Capcom. Do yourself a favor and save up for a 360 or PS3 (asuming cost is the reason you dont have one) I had a wii on launch, since i got my ps3 in Sept 2009, i only play it for VC games.
