Wii U sales rise 340 percent over October
"Our hardware is gaining momentum," Nintendo says about achievement; Super Mario 3D World sells 215,000 copies in eight days.

Sales of Wii U hardware in November rose by more than 340 percent over October's figures in the United States, Nintendo has announced, though specific unit sales were not provided.
On the software side, Super Mario 3D World sold more than 215,000 combined digital and physical units. Notably, the game launched on November 22, so this figure only includes eight days' worth of sales.
"In looking at these results, two things are indisputable: Our hardware is gaining momentum at the exact right time and our software catalog is stronger than ever," Nintendo of America marketing executive Scott Moffitt said.
Nintendo also shared various other sales statistics for November, including 770,000 3DS units sold during the month, driving the lifetime total to 10.5 million systems sold in the United States.
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y each sold more than 225,000 combined digital and physical units, bringing their life-to-date sales total to more than 2.35 million copies. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, meanwhile, shifted more than 280,000 combined digital and physical units.
When including the special edition Zelda-themed 3DS XL system (which comes with a copy of the game), that figure rises to 405,000 total units, Nintendo said.
In addition, five 3DS titles saw triple-digit sales percentage increases in November, compared to sales in October. These include Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (140 percent), Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (105 percent), Paper Mario: Sticker Star (280 percent), Mario Kart 7 (130 percent), and Super Mario 3D Land (235 percent).
Overall, the PlayStation 4 outsold the the Xbox One in November (it was released a week earlier), but the Xbox One was the fastest-selling console during the month.
