Where Is Xur Today? (October 27-31) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

Intergalactic arms dealer Xur has returned, bringing with him a fresh supply of Exotic and legendary-class gear that you can use in your Festival of the Lost battle against the Headless Ones. As usual, Xur will be hanging around for a few days in one of signature locations and you'll have until the weekly reset to do some shopping with him. Here's where Xur is this week and what he has for sale.

This week you can find Xur in The Tower, inside the Hangar. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Prospector grenade launcher. Hunters can pick up the Young Ahamkara's Spine gauntlets; Titans can grab the Peacekeepers leg armor; and Warlocks can buy the Winter's Guile gauntlets.

Xur Location

Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 Vanguard Ops or win Crucible and Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but beginning this season, you'll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also increased, as you'll now be able to hold up to five of them at a time.

Exotic Armor

Young Ahamkara's Spine (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)

With the Wish Dragon Teeth perk, you get an increased Tripmine Grenade duration, a bigger blast radius, and energy for that grenade skill from ability final blows. Young Ahamkara's Spine also looks great, and for the stats, this has a fairly decent spread. Recovery and strength are the highest, discipline and mobility are pretty good, and you'll need to invest in some resilience and recovery mods to plug those gaps in the armor.

Peacekeepers (Exotic Titan leg armor)

For the Titan who loves their submachine gun weapon archetype, this is the Exotic bots to wear. Peacekeepers gives you quicker weapon handling, movement, and a small boost to airborne effectiveness when wielding an SMG, so pair this with an Exotic like Riskrunner or Huckleberry in one slot, a different SMG in the secondary slot, and you can maximize the potential of those weapons. When it comes to stats, this roll of the Exotic has very low resilience, very high recovery, and decent numbers for discipline, intellect, and strength.

Winter's Guile (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)

Winter's Guile is a solid Exotic option for Warlocks looking to invest in a Stasis build, as the Warlord's Sigil perk increases your melee damage when targets have been defeated with that in close-quarters. Targets encased by Penumbral Blast will automatically shatter, so this works very well with an Exotic weapon like Ager's Scepter and the right selection of Fragments and Aspects. The stats are wildly inconsistent on this roll, as resilience and strength are very high while everything else sports very low numbers.

Exotic Weapons

The Prospector (Exotic grenade launcher)

We haven't seen The Prospector in Xur's inventory in a long time, and if you haven't yet added it to your collection, then you've missed out on a very fun Exotic grenade launcher. This one has an increased magazine size and fires full-auto, but it's the Excavation perk that makes it interesting. Hold the trigger to fire grenades full-auto, and the second you release it, they'll all detonate simultaneously. Grenades also stick to surfaces, set targets on fire, and cause defeated enemies to explode and unleash Arc energy.

Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)

Hawkmoon having a Quickdraw perk is something we rarely see on this Exotic hand cannon when Xur has it in stock, but even with the ability to draw the weapon unbelievably quickly, it's not a must-have this week. Grab it if you want to feel like a gunslinger or unlock more crafting options.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
