[Last Chance] Where Is Xur Today? Destiny 2 Exotics Location, Weapon, Armor (October 18-22)

Struggling for fusion rifle kills in Iron Banner? Snag Telesto from Xur.

Comments

Another weekend Destiny 2 has drawn to a close, and that means that Xur will soon be leaving the solar system for another five days. The Iron Banner is still pitting Guardians against each other for another day, which makes it a great time to stock up on useful Exotics to take into the Crucible. You can still buy from Xur until the weekly reset on Tuesday, October 22. Here's what Xur is offering this week to help you climb up the Crucible ranks, and where you'll need to go to find him.

Where Is Xur?

Head to Nessus to find Xur this week. He's hanging out on Calus's opulent barge in the Watcher's Grave region. From the local transmat zone, hop on your sparrow and head north, then climb aboard the ship and look for Xur on the left side.

What Is Xur Selling?

Despite the fact that Xur can sell Exotics from the full second year of Destiny 2, most of what he's got this week is older stuff, and therefore a little less interesting. Leading the pack is Telesto, an Exotic fusion rifle that keeps creating problems--a bug means Bungie disabled it this weekend from use in the Iron Banner. Hunters get the only Exotic that might be considered "new" with Shards of Galanor, a piece of armor from the Forsaken expansion.

You can still get some Year Two Exotics if you're looking to fill out your collection, though. Xur's Fated Engram, which gives you one Exotic you don't already have per week, now includes all the random Year Two Exotic drops from the Annual Pass, which means Exotic armor from last season, the Season of Opulence, is now available from the expensive engram. If you're a PC or Xbox One player taking advantage of cross-save, you can now potentially get Wavesplitter from the Fated Engram as well.

Xur also carries the Five of Swords challenge card that lets you add modifiers to standard Nightfall Strikes, and if you're looking to work through Annual Pass content from Year Two, you can also get an Invitation of the Nine bounty from him.

Xur Item Lineup (October 18-22)

  • Telesto (Exotic Scout Rifle) -- 29 Legendary Shards
  • Dunemarchers (Exotic Titan Leg Armor) -- 23 Legendary Shards
  • Transversive Steps (Exotic Warlock Leg Armor) -- 23 Legendary Shards
  • Shards of Galanor (Exotic Hunter Gauntlets) -- 23 Legendary Shards

Telesto

No Caption Provided

If you need a reliable weapon for the Crucible, Telesto is a great one to have. The fusion rifle shoots sticky energy balls that attach to walls and enemies, detonating a few seconds later. It would normally be very useful in Iron Banner, particularly for dealing with the fusion rifle step of the Scour the Rust quest. Unfortunately, thanks to a bug that lets you get unlimited Super energy by using Telesto, Bungie disabled the gun this week.

Dunemarchers

No Caption Provided

Titans can grab Dunemarchers this week, another useful Exotic for venturing into the Crucible. The leg armor increases your sprint speed and builds up a static electric charge as you move, which detonates when you melee an enemy and chains to nearby players. If you love running around and shoulder-charging people, grab this one.

Transversive Steps

Hunters aren't the only class that can be speedy thanks to Warlocks' Transversive Steps. The Exotic increases your sprint speed, and after you sprint for a short time, the leg armor also automatically reloads your equipped weapon.

Shards of Galanor

A former mainstay for Hunters running Blade Barrage, Shards of Galanor is a lot less effective now that it has been nerfed, but it can still be useful in both PvE and the Crucible. The gauntlets return Super energy on successful Blade Barrage hits and kills.
