Where For Art Thou Lunar?

Fans wait for word on what will happen to Working Designs' last title for the Saturn.

If you follow the Sega Usenet newsgroup at all, you've seen the posts. Saturn loyalists and Working Designs fans have posted up a storm about the fate of the company's last Sega Saturn title. At E3, the company said that its last Saturn titles would be Albert Odyssey, Sega Ages, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Lunar: The Silver Star Story. Now, fans are worried that Lunar has been canned, leaving Rayearth as the company's last game.

When GameSpot News spoke to WD president Victor Ireland Tuesday, he assured us that the company is not deserting Lunar fans. He said that by the middle of next month, the company will be in a better position to reveal its future lineup plans.

Working Designs is hard at work finishing Alundra, its first PlayStation RPG translation, which should be released in the second week of December. Its next Saturn release will be Magic Knight Rayearth, which has now been pushed back to a February release.
