When is Borderlands 2 coming to PlayStation Vita?
March 18 release date revealed on Twitter was posted in error, 2K Games says.
Earlier today, the official 2K Games Twitter account stated that Borderlands 2 would launch for PlayStation Vita on March 18, 2014, but that date is now "incorrect," the publisher said.
"We apologize for a tweet about a release date for Borderlands 2 on Vita which was posted in error. The release date mentioned is incorrect," the studio said.
"We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused."
So when is Borderlands 2 coming to PS Vita? As announced during Gamescom last summer, the game is slated to arrive sometime in 2014, but no firm date has been announced yet. It also remains unclear if the game will support Cross-Buy.
Borderlands 2 for PS Vita is a collaborative effort between 2K, Sony, and Iron Galaxy Studios, the independent developer behind fighting game Divekick. The PS Vita version of Borderlands 2 will feature "all the unique benefits" of the device, though it is not clear if any of the game's downloadable content will be available for the PS Vita version.
Borderlands 2 has been a hit on consoles. It has shipped over 7.5 million copies and is on track to become the best-selling title in the history of 2K Games.
