The next big Marvel game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, is set for release on October 20. But when exactly can you start playing the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive?

In the United States, Spider-Man 2 unlocks at midnight Eastern on October 20, which translates to 9 PM PT on October 19 for those on the West Coast. In each region around the world, the game unlocks at midnight local time, meaning it's already available in places like New Zealand and India. No matter where you live, Spider-Man 2 should be playable very, very soon.

Anyone buying the game on a disc can play the game as soon as they get their hands on it. However, Insomniac suggests that people download the launch-day update that has important improvements. The game is playable offline and without the patch for anyone who doesn't want to download it.
