When Do All The New iPhones Come Out? iPhone XS, XS Max, XR Release Dates (Apple Keynote 2018)
Apple's latest and greatest.
On Wednesday, Apple held its annual September media event to announce, among other things, the new iPhones for 2018. Whether you're the type of person who buys the new iPhone every year or your current phone is getting creaky with age and it's time to upgrade, you're probably wondering when these new devices will come out. Let's break down Apple's new iPhone release dates.
Three new iPhones are heading our way: the XS, XS Max, and the XR. The iPhone XS (pronounced "ten ess") and XS Max are the updated version of last year's iPhone X. The XS has a 5.8-inch OLED display, while the XS Max has a 6.5-inch display. Both devices have stereo audio output, a dual-camera system, True Tone displays, and Face ID security that lets you unlock your phone just by looking at it.
They come in gold, silver, and space gray. The price for the iPhone XS starts at $999 for the 64 GB model and goes up from there for 256 GB and 512 GB. The XS Max starts at $1,099 for the same amounts of storage
Apple also announced the iPhone XR during the presentation. It's a more affordable version of the XS, and it comes in a number of bright colors. It has an LCD screen instead of OLED and has a single camera instead of a dual camera. The XR has a 6.1-inch screen, which lands it right between the XS and XS Max in terms of size. It starts at $749 for the 64 GB model and will cost more for its 128 GB and 256 GB models.
