Westworld Season Finale Trailer Sets Up an Epic Conclusion [SPOILERS]

"These violent delights have violent ends."

This post contains massive Westworld spoilers.

Following last night's episode of Westworld, HBO today released the first teaser for the sci-fi/western's Season 1 finale. The video is titled "New Narrative," which appears to be a reference to the mysterious new story that Dr. Ford has been cooking up throughout the events of Season 1. The video shows Maeve apparently getting ready to break out into the real world, while Dolores and the Man in Black are seen face-to-face, apparently setting up a showdown. William has just finished gunning down a camp of hosts, while the clip ends with Bernard quoting Shakespeare. "These violent delights have violent ends," he says, echoing a line spoken earlier in the show by different characters.

Episode 10 is titled "The Bicameral Mind." It airs this coming Sunday, December 4 at 9 PM ET.

Last night's Episode 9, titled "The Well-Tempered Clavier," was something of a doozy. One of the standout sequences from the show was how it (kind of) revealed the identity of Arnold. There is still a lot to chew one and loose ends to tie up; hopefully the season finale delivers some answers.

Westworld has been renewed for a "mysterious and exciting" Season 2, though it's not expected to premiere until late 2017 or 2018. Season 2 will reveal more about what powers the robots, known as hosts, but other plot details are being kept under wraps. Man in Black actor Ed Harris has teased that he will be "involved" in Season 2, though it remains to be seen what that means.
