When will fans see the third season of Westworld? Chances are it won't be for a long time, but pieces of the Season 3 puzzle are slowly starting to come together. A new face will be joining the fold when Westworld returns and it's one Breaking Bad fans should be very excited to see.

According to Variety, Aaron Paul has been cast in an undisclosed role for the third season. While who he'll be playing is being kept secret--this is Westworld, after all--it's believed that he'll be a series regular when the HBO show returns.

The actor shared the news of his new job on Twitter, writing, "I feel like I'm in a dream Dolores. Can you wake me up from this dream?"

Adding Paul to the mix should be very interesting, and the possibilities are endless. As it stands, the second season ended with both Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) outside of Westworld and on the mainland. Dolores wants to eliminate humanity, while Bernard wants to save it. That leaves plenty of room to introduce new characters in Season 3.

Of course, the question fans are going to have now is whether Paul will be playing a human or a host. With so much of the Delos collection of robot theme parks left unexplored, he wouldn't even have to come from Westworld, were he a host.

As for when to expect the next season of Westworld, HBO has not announced that yet. However, star Ed Harris told the Huffington Post over the summer that filming wouldn't begin until June 2019. So our best guess is the beginning of 2020 at the earliest.
