The weekly PC sales numbers compiled by NPD are in. The surge in interest in games with war themes continues with the debut of Delta Force: Black Hawk Down in the number-one position for the week. Apart from the sudden disappearance from the charts of last week's number-two game, Freelancer, the relative rankings look quite familiar, with EA's Command & Conquer: Generals, Battlefield 1942, SimCity 4, and The Sims continuing to dominate. The only other new face this week is Ubi Soft's online RPG Shadowbane.

Best-selling PC games for the week of March 23-29, 2003:

Rank / Title / Publisher / Average Price
1 / Delta Force: Black Hawk Down / NovaLogic / $39
2 / Command & Conquer: Generals / EA / $46
3 / Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield / Ubi Soft / $42
4 / The Sims Deluxe / EA / $44
5 / Battlefield 1942 / EA / $47
6 / Zoo Tycoon / Microsoft / $28
7 / The Sims: Unleashed / EA / $29
8 / Shadowbane / Ubi Soft / $38
9 / SimCity 4 / EA / $48
10 / Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome / EA / $19
