More than $500,000 is up for grabs this year, which is more than four times the prize pool for last year's event. Each video game champion will take home a $10,000 scholarship, while the card game champions will be awarded a $25,000 scholarship.

The 2015 Pokemon World Championships takes place at the Hynes Convention Center in downtown Boston. The video game tournament is played using Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, while details about the card game tournament are available here.
