Now Playing: Wonder Woman - Comic-Con Trailer

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Wonder Woman, the upcoming movie based on the iconic DC superhero. The trailer made its debut at Comic-Con 2016, and opens with Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, washing up on the shores of Themyscira.

As the trailer continues, we get to see the Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, bond with Trevor, before joining a war. We also get to see Diana put her lasso of truth to use, along with her sword and shield. Naturally. Check it out in the embedded video above.

The first poster for the Wonder Woman movie was revealed by actress Gal Gadot. It shows Wonder Woman, sword in hand, and hair flying backwards against the wind. There is also a tagline: "Power. Grace. Wisdom. Wonder."

Wonder Woman opens on June 2, 2017 and is directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster). Gadot stars as the Amazonian princess turned superhero, alongside Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and Danny Huston. You can see some more images from the film here. Gadot will also appear in November 2017's Justice League as the iconic superhero.

In other recent Wonder Woman news, the United States Postal Service has announced a series of stamps that show off the character across the eras. They are being released in October to celebrate her 75th anniversary.
