Alongside the news about a new Assassin's Creed Syndicate PS4 bundle, Ubisoft and Sony launched a trailer for the game that highlights its PS4-exclusive DLC, The Dreadful Crimes Mission Pack.

This DLC, announced during E3 in June, comes with 10 missions themed around the 19th century Penny Dreadful pocket novels, which often were themed around "sensationalized" crimes. The Assassin's Creed Syndicate DLC is told through the eyes of a young man named Artie, who works with the Penny Dreadful investigative journalist Henry Raymond to "explore the roots of this gruesome fad."

In the Dreadful Crimes Mission Pack, you play as either Jacob or Evie Frye, the two main characters in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and will travel to places like the slums of Whitechapel to Buckingham Palace. Players will use the game's updated Eagle Vision feature to discover clues and get answers.

"It's up to you to choose whom to interrogate and your deductive skills will be put to the test in determining how to proceed," reads a line from the DLC's official description. "Once you feel you have successfully identified the culprit, you can confront and accuse them, but beware… accusing the wrong suspect will result in a decreased reward!"

Players who successfully complete the Dreadful Crimes missions will be rewarded with "unique in-game items utilized by iconic detectives of the day." Specific details were not shared.

The Dreadful Crimes DLC will be available for PS4 players on launch day. Whether or not this DLC eventually comes to Xbox One and PC remains to be seen.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate release date is set for October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the PC edition arrives November 19. The game is not coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
