"Get ready!"

The first TV spot for The Force Awakens broadcast last week was the first in a series of short teasers for the upcoming Star Wars movie. No fewer than three new clips have been unveiled since, all of them featuring previously unseen footage from the eagerly awaited blockbuster.

First of all, there is an extended version of that initial TV spot:

The next clip was a short behind-the-scenes featurette shown on the Disney Channel. This provides the first footage of Domhnall Gleeson's villainous General Hux, shouting "Fire!' from the imposing Starkiller Base.

Finally, a brand new TV spot shows young heroes Finn and Rey taking the Millennium Falcon into battle, plus a very large building exploding. Watch it here:

In an interview with EW last week, director JJ Abrams revealed some new details about Starkiller Base, which appeared on the film's official poster and is very reminiscent of another famous Imperial space station.

"It is very much--and it's acknowledged as such in the movie--apparently another Death Star," he said. "But what it's capable of, how it works, and what the threat is, is far greater than what the Death Star could have done. Starkiller Base is another step forward, technologically speaking, in terms of power."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18, 2015. It stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
