The Conjuring was one of the most successful horror movies of recent years--directed by James Wan, the 2013 film made more than $318 million worldwide. The inevitable sequel is on its way, and the first full trailer has been released. Check it out below:

The Conjuring 2 once again stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who this time round travel to London to look into another case of haunting and possession. The film also features David Thewlis (the Harry Potter series), and Franka Potente (The Bourne Ultimatum.)

In a recent interview with Slashfilm, Wan discussed how this sequel would differ from the first movie. "I think that the setting in the UK gives the movie a different flavor," he said. "Structurally it kind of mimics the first film, but the location and the cultural difference does bring a different smell, a different flavor to the palette."

"The continuity comes from Ed and Lorraine Warren and the continuation of the characters that we established in the first film," he added. "[But] someone could come in and just watch Conjuring 2 and [it] will still totally make sense. In that respect, it is a standalone film."

Wan was one of the creators of the massively successful Saw series, as well as the director of the smash hit Furious 7. Last month, it was announced that Lionsgate were developing an eighth Saw movie, with Wan producing. He is also set to direct the DC superhero adventure Aquaman, which is due in 2018.

The Conjuring 2 is released on June 10, 2016.
