The special event doubled as a benefit for charity.

Most of the cast and both co-writers behind 2010's fantastic Scott Pilgrim vs. the World have reunited for a 10th anniversary virtual table read. Scott Pilgrim creator and cartoonist Bryan Lee O'Malley and screenplay co-writers Michael Bacall and Edgar Wright were flanked, from quarantine, by Michael Cera, Aubrey Plaza, Anna Kendrick, Jason Schwartzman, and more to read through the screenplay online. A video of the event has just been released online.

Presented by Entertainment Weekly, the special event also doubled as a benefit for the charity Water for People, a global nonprofit that "helps people bring clean water and sanitation solutions to their communities for generations to come." Donations can be made via the Water for People website, and those who donate are also entered to win one of the drawings completed by O'Malley during the table read.

Like the graphic novel series it's based upon, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is about a slacker musician who must defeat the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend, Ramona Flowers. In addition to the cast mentioned above, the film also starred Kieran Culkin (Succession).

Earlier this year, Wright announced plans to make the film available in theaters again, in 4K, in partnership with Dolby Digital, once COVID-19 passes and it is safe to do so. For more on the shifting situation regarding movie theaters re-opening, you can read the latest here.
