The war is almost here.

Following yesterday's teaser, a new trailer has arrived for War for the Planet of the Apes.

It's perhaps a bit less action-centric than you might expect, with the trailer largely centering around the conflict between Caesar (Andy Serkis) and the Colonel (Woody Harrelson). If you're a fan of apes riding horses or haven't already seen enough of Harrelson shaving his head, it'll be right up your alley.

"In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel," reads the official synopsis. "After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet."

In addition to Serkis and Harrelson, the movie also stars Judy Greer, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, and Terry Notary.

This is the third entry in the new Apes movie series, following 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matt Reeves returns from Dawn to direct War for the Planet of the Apes, which hits theaters on July 14.
