Telltale Games has released the launch trailer for the fifth and final episode of the first season of its Batman series. The episode is called City of Light and the story involves a villain preparing to set into motion the final act of his nefarious plan to destroy the Wayne family name--check out the trailer below.

Being the season finale, the story for City of Light sounds pretty intense and dramatic.

"The leader of the Children of Arkham prepares to execute the final act of a plan to destroy the Wayne family name, and the people closest to you are in their path of vengeance," reads a line from its official description. "Can Batman's ultimate secret be kept--his very identity--when it is causing chaos and death in Gotham? The fate of the Wayne family and of the city itself rests on your choices. What will you do? How far will you go? Which mask will you wear?"

City of Light launches on December 13 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as iOS and Android devices. It's also coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on that day.

Telltale has not announced if the Batman series will get a second season.

The studio's next marquee release after this will be the third season of its Walking Dead series, A New Frontier, which premieres with a two-part first episode on December 20.

This is probably the fastest time that they release a new episode. Atleast now they can focus on season 3 of The Walking Dead.

I bought this... and I've still only played the first episode. Something about playing a choose your own adventure with no REAL variance from choice to choice doesn't really get the fires of interest going.

@mephisto1138: Welcome to Telltale Games where your choices in the end don't mean shit... if you choose to save a character don't worry we'll kill them later anyway...
