"Stay calm. You can move right through them."

The Walking Dead return to screens in a few weeks, with the premiere of season six's second half. A new mid-season promo has now been released--check it out below:

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple revealed that the new episodes would return the show to a linear narrative, following the first half's more elliptical storytelling. "We are going to see a larger world and discover all sorts of complications and complexities to the world that the group was not aware of and not even thinking about," he added.

Gimple also assured viewers that crossbow-wielding fan-favourite Daryl--played by Norman Reedus--would have a lot more screentime than in the first half of the season. "We put Norman through his paces," he said. "He's very scary in this back half, but there are a couple of moments where he made me laugh out loud. There is a whole lot of Daryl and a wide variety of Daryl."

In November it was announced that Negan, the notorious club-wielding villain from the Walking Dead comic books, had been cast and would appear towards the end of the current season. Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan will take on the role, and is expected to become a series regular in season seven.

The Walking Dead season six returns to AMC on February 14, 2016.
