In the lead-up to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes' release this year, there was no shortage of controversy over the game's length. Some reports said the game could be completed in under two hours. But a recently published speedrun blows that figure out of the water.

YouTube user Mimalmo has posted a video (via Kotaku) of the entire game being completed in under four minutes--3:54.870 to be exact. Though you can probably find a faster completion of the game, he writes on Reddit that this is a world record for an S-Rank playthrough.

It's a pretty impressive achievement to watch. Of course, he's not going through the side missions. And because Ground Zeroes is a nonlinear, sandbox-style game, finishing it once doesn't show you everything it has to offer. But it's still impressive nonetheless.

Ground Zeroes--a $20-$30 game depending on platform--is a prologue of sorts to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which has a playable world that is reportedly 200 times larger than that of its predecessor. Konami has not yet announced a release date for The Phantom Pain, but you can watch a 30-minute gameplay demo right now.
