Runbow, the Wii-U exclusive couch co-op game from indie developer 13AM Games is going to expand it's roster with a few cameos from other recent indie favorites. Part racer, part platformer, Runbow won us over with it's charming graphical style and nine-player co-op shenanigans at Nintendo's GDC indie showcase earlier this year.
Here's the full list of additional racers announced for the game:
- Shovel Knight -- Shovel Knight
- Juan and Tostada -- Guacamelee!
- CommanderVideo and CommandGirlVideo -- BIT.TRIP Presents...Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
- Swift Thornebrooke -- Sportsball
- Scram Kitty -- Scram Kitty and His Buddy On Rails
- Rusty -- Steamworld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt
While none of the new characters have any special powers or introduce any new gameplay mechanics, a representative from the developer explained, "Adding these characters came from a desire to celebrate games we love and fellow eShop developers who have been supportive of Runbow."
Runbow is set to release later this year.
