Rime, the previously PS4-exclusive adventure game, has received nearly 30 minutes of gameplay footage.

The video, which comes via IGN, shows off the game's opening moments. Take a look for yourself below.

The 28 minutes of gameplay showcases the game's beautiful environments, cute animals, underwater physics, and climbing mechanics. We also get to hear more of the wonderful soundtrack.

Rime was re-revealed earlier in January after two years of uncertainty. Rumors swirled during that time that the game may no longer be a PS4 exclusive after its developer, Tequila Works, cut publishing ties with Sony and reacquired the rights to the IP. Leaked documents suggested Rime might come to other platforms. It was later confirmed that the game would come to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in addition to PS4.

Rime was originally announced back in 2013. It has drawn comparisons to both PlayStation title Ico and Nintendo exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. However, it could actually have been an Xbox exclusive: Microsoft was pitched the title before its arrangement with Sony, but the computing giant decided to pass on helping fund Rime's development.

No release date has yet been announced for Rime, but we do know the game will launch sometime in May 2017.
