"The tower will fall."

The first full trailer for The Dark Tower arrives tomorrow, and in advance of that, a pair of teasers have been released. They were revealed by stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, who play rival gunslingers in the movie and took their feud to Twitter. Check the teasers out below:

The Dark Tower is based on Stephen King's classic series of fantasy novels. The movie was originally set to hit theaters in February, but the release date was subsequently moved back to the summer. At the time, it was reported that the ambitious post-production process meant that hitting a February release would have added millions to the budget, so Sony decided to delay the film instead.

Elba stars as gunslinger Roland Deschain, while Matthew McConaughey is playing demonic sorcerer Walter Padick, aka The Man in Black. The movie is directed by Nikolaj Arcel, who previously helmed the Oscar-nominated A Royal Affair. A poster was released in March--check it out here.

There has also been talk of a Dark Tower TV show. In September, it was reported that an adaptation of 1997's Wizard and Glass, the fourth book in King's epic series, was being planned.

However, more recently, producer Ron Howard stated that while a show was in development, it was far from definite. "[There's] not a commitment on the television side," he told TV Guide last month. "But creatively, it could work very well, hand in hand with what we'd like the movies to be."

The Dark Tower hits theaters on August 3, 2017.
