Watch Law Breakers Devs Create and Break Down Its First Character

Here's how Boss Key Productions came up with Maverick.

The video showcases the character design process which, contrary to what most people may believe, starts with rapidly prototyping gameplay mechanics before letting the studio's artists create the visual representation of the character.

Maverick was the first character the studio made, and served as the one to solidify its character creation process. You can see early prototypes of the character and see how she comes together in the video above.

Bleszinski and Boss Key announced Law Breakers in August 2015. It is set in a sci-fi world after a major catastrophe called The Shattering has occurred.

The first Law Breakers gameplay video showed off some of the arenas that will be available to play in the PC arena-based shooter. Along with this, a few characters and their classes from the game are also showcased.

These include Kitsune, an Assassin that wields two blades and a grappling hook; Breacher, a Gunner that has a jetpack, allowing him to float; and Maverick, a Skirmisher that can jump high, fly far, and seems to have a force push-like ability.
