Watch First Trailer for New Dead Rising Movie

Streaming service Crackle today released the first trailer for its upcoming Dead Rising movie sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame.

The trailer teases out the story, which sees investigative reporter Chase Carter, played by Jesse Metcalfe (John Tucker Must Die), enter a zombie-filled city to expose a secret government conspiracy. Also on display is some solid-looking makeup work, including the young girl in the thumbnail.

Endgame debuts on Crackle on June 20. Metcalfe and 24's Dennis Hysbert return from 2015's Dead Rising: Watchtower, while Titanic's Billy Zane appears in Endgame as a scientist hired to cure the zombie outbreak

The sequel is helmed by Continuum director Pat Williams with Terminator Salvation's Michael Ferris and Mortal Kombat: Legacy's Tim Carter on as writers.

21 Jump Street's Rob Riggle appeared as Frank West in the first Dead Rising movie, but it appears he will not return as the zombie series' iconic character.
