After some delays and speculation about its cancellation, the Wii U version of Ubisoft's open-world action game Watch Dogs was released today on Nintendo's high-definition console.

The console and PC versions of the Chicago-set game were released in May, and have combined to ship more than 9 million units so far.

Ubisoft also today released a handful of screenshots from the Wii U version of Watch Dogs, giving gamers a glimpse at how the game looks on Nintendo's home console. See the full gallery below.

It was also confirmed this week that the Wii U edition of Watch Dogs will receive DLC after all. For more on Watch Dogs, check out GameSpot's review and what other critics are saying.
