A new trailer for the gaming-inspired first-person movie Hardcore Henry has arrived--and it's just as over-the-top as the trailer we saw last year. The video also reveals that Pulp Fiction's Tim Roth will have some role to play in the movie. Check it out below.

Because it's shot from a first-person perspective, the viewer basically takes on the role of Henry. The movie begins as you wake up, remembering nothing because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife, played in the movie by Marley & Me's Haley Bennett. Here's more from the film's description:

"She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name's Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he's a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley.) He may be on your side, but you aren't sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You're likely going to need it…"

Hardcore Henry is directed by Ilya Naishuller, who received considerable attention in 2014 for the award-winning first-person POV music video he directed for his band Biting Elbows. The video caught the attention of Timur Bekmambetov, the man behind the Nightwatch trilogy and the Angelina Jolie/James McAvoy thriller Wanted, who offered to produce a film showcasing many of these pioneering techniques.

"It's a love letter to music, film, and video games," he told Grantland.com. "I can list off the games that I've always loved and that had influences on it. I love Half-Life, but there's not a nod to Half-Life, apart from the fact that it is a first-person movie, which to me is a nod enough."

Hardcore Henry opens in theaters on April 8. You can get a closer look at it through the image gallery below.
