The head of Harry Potter parent company WarnerMedia has teased that there is "a lot of fun and potential" for extending the Harry Potter universe down the road.

During an investors conference recently, CEO Jason Kilar said he sees a lot of room to grow for the Harry Potter series well into the future.

"There's this little thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises. And we're incredibly thankful to be able to partner with J.K. Rowling and so I would argue there's a lot of fun and potential there as well," the executive said, via THR.

He declined to share any further details on how Warner might build out the Harry Potter franchise. However, his comments came after a report claimed that Warner was considering a live-action Harry Potter TV show for HBO Max.

It's also been reported that Warner may produce a movie version of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play.

Outside of that, work continues on the Fantastic Beasts series, with Mads Mikkelsen recently stepping in to replace Johnny Depp in the third movie.

Outside of film and TV, WB's gaming division is working on an open-world Harry Potter game called Hogwarts Legacy. It was recently delayed to 2022.
