Warlords Battlecry II goes gold
Ubi Soft's real-time strategy game sequel is complete and will ship to stores next month.
Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced the completion of Warlords Battlecry II, the sequel to Warlords Battlecry. Like its predecessor, the new game combines real-time strategy with role-playing elements such as character development and spellcasting. The new game also has a number of improvements on the previous game, such as improved graphics, 12 different playable races, 20 different hero classes, and more than 140 different units. It also includes more than 100 different abilities and spells, as well as a variety of multiplayer modes.
The original Warlords Battlecry was the first game in the Warlords fantasy strategy game series to use a real-time system rather than a turn-based system. In light of the new game's completion and upcoming release, Ubi Soft has announced that the retail price of the original Warlords Battlecry has been reduced to $9.99.
Warlords Battlecry II was developed by Strategic Studies Group, the studio that created the previous game, and it will be available in stores in mid-March for an approximate retail price of $39.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
