Players of Warhammer 40,000 no longer have to worry about arm-twisting unwilling friends every time they want to play a game. THQ and Relic Entertainment announced today that they have shipped the latest PC real-time strategy title based on Games Workshops' tabletop classic to stores worldwide. Rated "M" for Mature, the game has a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Like previous Warhammer 40,000 PC titles, Dawn of War transplants the Warhammer game scenario to the far future. Players can play as one of four races: the good Space Marines, the bad Chaos Space Marines, the bloodthirsty Orks, or the hyperevolved Eldar. Each faction has its own special abilities, weapons, and tech trees. However, each faction also has one common goal--to crush its enemies and conquer the galaxy.
