Warcraft opens in theaters in a couple weeks, and production company Legendary Entertainment has released a new featurette that takes an extended look at the movie's star human, Lothar.

Lothar actor Travis Fimmel talks about the character, his personality, and his very large sword. Additionally, there are some behind-the-scenes shots of the actors on set. You can check it all out for yourself in the video below.

"Lothar, he's the commander of the military for the humans. He's also got his flaws where he's torn between the duty of being a commander, at the expense of his family," Fimmel said. "It's that choice between doing what's right for your family or doing what's right for the whole race."

The video also shows off some of the more humorous aspects of the upcoming Warcraft movie, like Lothar's relationship with Khadgar, which have not been featured in much of the promotional material.

Before signing on to play Lothar, Fimmel had never heard of the Warcraft franchise. He said in an interview that he "needed a job" and had "no idea what [he] was getting" into with the amount of green-screen acting he'd have to do.

This isn't the only featurette we've seen for Warcraft. Garona actor Paula Patton gave a behind-the-scenes look at how she prepared for her role, while another video showed us how the orcs are brought to life through CGI.

Warcraft hits theaters on June 10 in North America. Some theaters have a promotion where if you see the movie, you get a free digital copy of World of Warcraft. You can see all of the details here.

The Warcraft movie hasn't received much praise in its first reviews. You can see what critics think in GameSpot's review roundup.
