Warcraft III hits GameSpot offices

We've received our Warcraft III beta CDs...have you?

Comments

GameSpot PC has received its requested beta copies of Warcraft III, the upcoming 3D real-time strategy sequel from Blizzard. The company began sending out beta CDs yesterday, and the game's beta test is now underway. Warcraft III will be the latest addition to the company's real-time strategy series, which has previously focused on the conflict between the armies of humans and orcs. Warcraft III will differ from its predecessors by including new playable races, like the nature-loving night elves and the sinister undead.

Warcraft III is scheduled for release this summer, but GameSpot PC will begin its extensive, in-depth coverage of the Warcraft III beta starting next week. For now, we've captured lots of new screenshots from the beta, including screenshots of the playable races; you can view them in our screenshot gallery above.
