Gaijin Entertainment also announced that the PlayStation 4 version of War Thunder--cross-compatible with the PC version--will be on display at Gamescom next month. The developer said it will make an announcement regarding the game's launch date at the show.

War Thunder is also in development for iOS and Android devices, though Gaijin Entertainment has not provided details regarding when these versions of the game will launch.

Gamers interested in trying out the title--compatible with Oculus Rift--can download the War Thunder open beta from the game's website today.
