Walmart Announces PS5, Xbox Series X Restock Date And Time For Black Friday

As part of its Black Friday 2020 sale, Walmart will restock the PS5 and Xbox Series X online.

If you weren't able to snag a PS5 or Xbox Series X in their preorder phases or on launch day, then you'll have another chance during Black Friday 2020. Walmart kicks off its Deals For Days event on November 25 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and will restock the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X two hours later at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. The consoles will only be available on Walmart.com, not in stores, so stay home and keep your mouse finger loose and limber. You will have to be extremely quick in order to secure one, as we saw them go out of stock almost instantly as the Walmart website began experiencing issues during the last restock.

Walmart's Black Friday ad does not show the digital PS5 or the Xbox Series S, so it's unclear if these digital-only consoles will also be restocked. During the previous restock, these consoles were made available and appeared to remain in stock for a short while longer than their more expensive counterparts. If you want a new console, you should focus on trying to order an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 with a disc drive when Walmart's restock happens, rather than a PS5 Digital or Series S. If the most recent Walmart PS5 restocks are any indication, they'll sell out fast, so you'll want to give yourself the best chance at snagging one. We suggest making sure your Walmart shipping information and payment details are up to date beforehand to help checkout go faster. In addition to keeping Xbox Series X and PS5 orders online-only, Walmart is staying closed on Thanksgiving Day this year. The company said it's doing this to give its employees a "special Thanksgiving Day at home with their loved ones" after a "trying year."
