UK-based Frontier Developments today announced that it has been working on Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which will be released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox later this year. Frontier is currently in discussions to license the game to a publisher.

The game stars Wallace & Gromit, the animated duo created by three-time Academy Award winner Nick Park. In a plot taken from the upcoming film of the same name, Wallace, the cheeky cheese-loving inventor, and Gromit, his loyal canine companion, set out to solve the case of the Were-Rabbit in their hometown of West Wallaby. Along the way, they'll battle adversaries with a collection of "cracking contraptions" invented by Wallace.

This is the second Wallace & Gromit game for consoles. Wallace & Gromit in Project Zoo was released in 2003 on the Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.
