The new trailer for The Walking Dead Season 11 has been released. The first part of the final season of the long-running zombie show premieres on August 25.

The trailer is split into two halves. The first features scenes and characters from the previous decade of The Walking Dead, including favorites such as Rick, Daryl, Hershel, Michonne, Maggie, and Carol, plus villains Negan, Alpha, and The Governor, accompanied by the iconic speech from Rick actor Andrew Lincoln about "how we survive." This is followed by quickly-cut moments from the new season, including Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) wearing the military armor of the Commonwealth, a new group of survivors set to feature in the new episodes. Check it out below:

Season 11 will be a longer season than previous ones. It will consist of 24 episodes, split in three parts across 2021 and 2022 and has been named The Final Season Trilogy. The show will also feature at virtual ComicCon@Home, with its panel taking place on Saturday, July 24 at 3 PM PT.

But even though the main show will soon be ending, this isn't the end for The Walking Dead. The two current spin-off shows, Fear of The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World's Beyond, are set to return for their seventh and second seasons respectively, and will both feature at ComicCon@Home.

Beyond that, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride will reprise their long-running roles Daryl and Carol for a spin-off series, while Andrew Lincoln will return to the franchise for the Rick Grimes movies. There's also an anthology show titled Tales of the Walking Dead in the works.
