Guillemot International will be announcing and showing a new Voodoo 2-based product at Comdex.

Guillemot wouldn't comment on what the exact specs, pricing, or bundled software of the Voodoo 2-based board would be but said that more information would be announced in the next few days. GameSpot News expects that the board will follow along with the 4 meg texture buffer and a 4 meg frame buffer. The board is expected late in the first quarter of 1998 - about the same time that other companies are planning to launch their boards, and will expectedly sell for around the US$300 mark.

Guillemot has been one of the leading sources of Voodoo Graphics-based boards in the European market. This will be the company's major jump into the US 3D graphics market.

At the same time, Guillemot will also be announcing the availability of its original Voodoo Graphics-based board, the Gamer 3D. Pricing for the Gamer 3D will be $169 packaged with UbiSoft's Pod and SubCulture as well as SegaSoft's HEAT online service package.
