In the age of social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic, most social interactions have been replaced with virtual ones over video conferencing software like Zoom. Students are having classes, companies are having meetings, friends are having game nights, and couples are having dates over video chat. Naturally, Zoom backgrounds have become a trendy way to show off your interests or just hide the pile of clothes in your bedroom.

Several game developers like Atlus, as well as movie and TV studios, have gotten in on the trend with specially made backgrounds that pay homage to some favorite pop culture references. The next time you're doing your virtual D&D campaign you can appear in Skyrim or Westeros, or you can go on a date at Bob's Burgers.

Many companies have shared their backgrounds on Twitter, and you can find several below. Others have shared backgrounds through their official sites. Those include HBO (for backgrounds including Game of Thrones and Westworld), Fox's Animation Domination (for Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, and Family Guy), and Marvel (for Avengers, Black Panther, and Dr. Strange, among others).
